Talk about bang for your buck – Flether 19GTS Sportscruiser Lives up to it’s name…

For a small boat this Fletcher sports a serious bit of accommodation. An ingenious design means that this boat squeezes in genuine weekending capabilities into a sleek 19ft hull. This ain’t just typical ‘brochure speak’ either…. the previous of owner of this boat regularly headed off to the Fermanagh lakes for the weekend with his wife and 3 kids in tow. They would spend the days water skiing and cruising and the nights on board. The 3 kids would bed down in the cabin v-berth and mum and dad would put the infill cushion in the aft cockpit seating area and sleep on the large sunpad under the camper canvas enclosure…. how many 19ft boats can you genuinely sleep a family of 5 on?

In the morning it’s just a matter of setting up the cockpit table and lifting out the passenger seat to get access to the sink and camping gas stove to rustle up breakfast, with enough room for all the family to eat around the table. Clear everything away again, throw the table in the cabin, stow the canvas frame in the dedicated recess behind the cockpit seating, and you’re ready to go for a day of fun on the water.

This boat has a great deep-v hull that planes easily with the powerful Mercruiser 4.3L MPI 220HP Sterndrive engine, cruises economically, and cuts through chop really well. There is tons of power for pulling skiers and water toys, while at the same time being able to cruise economically at one-thirds throttle. This particular boat is a great example of the 19 GTS and is in super condition throughout.

This boat really can’t be compared to your typical entry level US sports cuddy, because it’s not the same…. It really is a little sports cruiser and has all the on-board accommodation and big boat design touches (like the fold-away camper covers and wrap around u-shaped cockpit seating) to prove it. In terms of weekending and day-boat ability this boat easily outstrips the typical 19ft cuddy cabin sports boat.

The best news though is that, at the same time, you’ll pay less for this boat than a similar sized, similar age, sports cuddy. The value for money on offer with this package is simply phenomenal.
