Most entry level Sports Cruisers are around 24 or 25ft long. They have 4 berths, a separate heads compartment, a proper little galley and usually room for 5 or 6 people in the cockpit. And they’re great. An excellent way to begin the sports cruising lifestyle.
But, if you use your boat a lot and particularly if you spend a lot of nights on board, a 24ft boat can quickly start to feel small and you could be overcome with a bout of the dreaded “4-foot-itis”… (an overwhelming urge for a boat that’s 4 foot longer!)
This is where this Rinker 270 could solve all your problems, before you encounter them!
This boat is still basically an entry level sports cruiser – it has 4 berths in 2 cabins, it has a single Diesel engine, it has a separate heads and shower compartment, it has a proper galley, and you can even put it on a trailer for winter storage.
But.
At 30ft long it’s 5 or 6 feet longer than your standard entry level sports cruiser. So that means you get loads of extra space throughout the boat, but especially in the cockpit. It has more head and elbow room in the cabins, it has a larger aft cabin, it has a bigger heads compartment. There’s a larger swim platform than normal. There’s room in the cockpit for a nice little wet bar and there’s tons of seating for up to 10 passengers – which is 2 to 3 more than most entry level cruisers.
So, you get an entry level cruiser that feels like a proper 30 footer, but still has the same characteristics and ease of use, and (the best part!) price, of an entry level cruiser.
So you can jump into a super smart entry level sports cruiser and avoid catching 4-foot-itis!
This particular Rinker 270 benefits from having the very desirable Volvo Penta D4 260HP Duo-Prop Diesel Sterndrive. So it combines great performance with excellent fuel economy.
It has only 396hrs on the clock and it has benefitted from extensive maintenance in recent years.
It boasts a very good spec level, including cabin heating, teak-effect decking, full camper covers, Garmin chartplotter, vhf, etc, etc…
If you’re considering a sports cruiser, but want to get something just a bit bigger than the standard entry level – say something like a Maxum 2700, Bayliner 265, Rinker 280, Glastron 279, Regal 2665 or a Doral Monticello – then this Rinker 270 is well worth considering.
It’s very seriously for sale and the owner is open to offers.
