A Classic Runabout with Timeless Style…

Cobalt sits at the top of the tree when it comes to US Sports Boats. They’re very expensive to buy new today and they were very expensive to buy back in the early ’90s when this one come off the production line. A quick glance around the boat demonstrates why… Everything about this boat speaks quality, from the heavy duty build to the thoughtful design touches, this is the best there is when it comes to accessible classic American runabouts.

If you’re familiar with GulfStream Boat Sales, you’ll know that I am extremely wary of older boats – because I know how much of a nightmare they can be. If I can’t be totally sure that I’m not selling someone a boat load of trouble then I will not get involved. Full stop.

Having said that, this boat is about as far removed from the typical older boat scenario as you can get. Having been personally looked after by my engineer for the last 5 or 6 years, it was strongly recommended to me when it became available recently. I know it’s been very looked after, by a competent engineer, and she is a credit to her previous owners.

This Cobalt 202 Condurre was built in 1993. She is fitted with a Mercruiser 5.7L V8 260HP Sterndrive, giving her effortless performance. To our knowledge the boat has only ever been used in fresh water, it has been meticulously maintained and it’s running beautifully.

This boat is in completely original and genuine condition. The hull bottom has never been antifouled. The gel coat is original and looking fantastic for a 25 year old boat. The quality of the original construction of this boat shines through today and she really is a classic in the making.

As I’m sure you know, if you are looking at boats of around 20 years old or more, then the actual age quickly becomes irrelevant… It’s all about condition!

As well as being in fantastic cosmetic order the boat is mechanically perfect. I personally know how well this boat has been looked after, and I’m confident enough in it to offer her for sale now with a comprehensive 3 month engine and drive warranty.

For what’s on offer here, at the price being asked, this has to be one of the best value boats we’ve had to sell this year.
