Considered by many to be the best tournament ski boat in the world, the Malibu Response is an iconic boat with impeccable pedigree.
If you are looking to buy the best slalom ski in the business, to my mind it comes down to a Mastercraft Prostar or a Malibu Response. Your decision will be down to personal preference and often what you’ve learned to ski behind. But be in no doubt that the Malibu Response is every bit as good, if not better, than the rest. This is a top tier, world class ski boat.
It’s also highly unusual to find a used Malibu in such excellent condition as this one. These boats tend to be bought by hardcore skiing families and they lead hard lives – they do big hours, armies of teenagers are climbing all over them, young drivers bounce them off jetties and leave them out on the water all weekend with no covers on. Don’t get me wrong, this Malibu is built to take this sort of hard use and abuse, but it does take it’s toll over the years – the gelcoat gets scuffed up and fades, upholstery and carpets can get tired, covers rip etc. etc…
But not this boat.
It’s effectively done nothing. With only 20hrs on the engine and not a scratch on the gelcoat, the boat is virtually perfect. If you show up to the lake with this, your skiing buddies will think you’ve bought a new boat!

The boat has a great spec including Malibu Speed Control on the Indmar 350ci 320HP motor. She has Warm Air Heating, Custom Trailer and Tonneau Cover, Hot and Cold Transom Shower, Swim Platform and Wedge bracket.
With the optional Wedge System and the ability to remove the back seat and add some fat sacks the boat can also pull double duty as a wakeboard boat, with a fairly decent wakeboarding wake.
