Orkney boats have been around for a lifetime and as their strapline says, the are ‘Built to Last’! The Pilothouse 20 is an iconic model – versatile and capable as a coastal cruising boat or a stable fishing platform. Its compact size, practical wheelhouse and dependable outboard power make it ideally suited to a multitude of uses… day trips, coastal exploration, fishing, overnight stays and spending time on the water with family or friends.
The Pilothouse 20 features a surprisingly spacious and practical interior for a vessel of this size, with a lockable wheelhouse providing shelter from the elements, comfortable seating for the helm and co-pilot, and a forward cabin area offering sleeping accommodation for two. The clever layout makes excellent use of the available space, with useful storage throughout.
This 2018 boat is in simply outstanding condition and boasts about as many optional extras that it’s possible to have. This boat has the Deluxe package meaning she is equipped with the optional galley with sink & single burner gas stove and a pump-out sea toilet with holding tank, making her a great choice for longer days (or even overnight stays) on the water. ‘Bluenose’ has upgraded teak flooring in the cabin and upgraded luxury upholstery. She has a factory installed Raymarine Chartplotter and VHF, along with twin windscreen wipers and nice interior lighting package. She has flexiteek decking to the entire aft cockpit and an aft tonneau cover. ‘Bluenose’ is also fitted from the factory with the largest engine option available, being the Honda 80HP four stroke. It is a fantastic spec level.
The Orkney Pilothouse 20 really comes into her own with her excellent deck layout and easy handling. She offers a generous, self-draining aft cockpit with high protective sides, ideal for fishing, entertaining or simply relaxing at anchor. Wide side decks and well-positioned handrails make moving forward safe and straightforward, while the enclosed wheelhouse provides excellent all-round visibility and comfortable protection when conditions turn less favourable.
Paired with the Honda 80HP four stroke outboard, with only 385 hours on the clock (and a full service history), she is a reliable and economical cruising boat, but also has the power to get you home in a hurry if the need arises.
Compact, robust and easy to trailer (on her factory-matched Indespension Roller Coaster Road Trailer), this is a superb all-rounder for coastal adventures, fishing trips and family days afloat.
