Nothing beats a proper tournament ski boat if you are serious about water skiing, barefooting or even a bit of wakeboarding.
Don’t get me wrong, sports boats and cruisers are great if you want a bit of versatility to go along with your boating; but if you go afloat purely for the purposes of watersports, then you really need a tournament ski boat.

This 1997 MasterCraft ProStar 190 is an unapologetic out and out ski boat and it’s one of the best ski boats in the business…
With the 320HP Predator motor, this boat has more than enough power to pull skiers and barefooters, of all sorts of shapes and sizes, out of the water with ease. She also has the reliability that you want in a ski boat, when time on the water is all about being behind the boat, not tinkering with the motor inside it.
The 5.7L Vortec Predator motor in this boat pre-dates the early to mid-2000 era MasterCraft motors that can be prone to all sorts of electrical glitches and reliability issues, and to my mind this makes her a much more desirable boat.
These boats were built to stand up to the rigours of ski club use and rack up many thousands of hours. This particular ProStar has only 564 hours on the clock and looks almost as good as new.
If you want a tournament ski boat that looks the part, is running a dream, will be reliable, has top pedigree and performance, and won’t break the bank to buy or run, then I think you should take a really close look at this immaculate MasterCraft ProStar 190.
