The Sealine S28 is a very popular boat.
It’s hard to believe that in my 12+ years of selling boats I’ve never sold one. This boat is the first Sealine S28 that I have got to drive and spend some proper time on.
And boy was I impressed!
It’s easy to see what all the hype is about…
The sleek design speaks for itself and the high-end Sealine build quality was also no surprise, but the first thing to impress me was the sheer amount of room on the boat.
With an open plan cockpit (with easy seating for 8), plus a huge galley area, over-sized forward dinette in the cabin, and a proper separate aft cabin with room to stand up and get changed (as well as ensuite access to the heads!), the accommodation in this boat is seriously impressive.
I was thinking of getting out the tape measure to make sure the hull is only 28ft long!
It really does put many 30+foot rivals to shame… I’m thinking Sea Ray 335, Rinker 320, Jeanneau Prestige 30s, Monterey 290, etc, etc.
The next thing that blew my mind was the performance. It goes like a rocket ship, turns like it’s on rails and achieves all this with only a pair of little KAD32s which are miserly on fuel and cost peanuts to service.
A lot of those ‘bigger’ rivals that I mentioned get lower performance figures out of bigger (thirstier) motors.
I’m not sure exactly how it’s been done, but it’s easy to see why the Sealine S28 is a winner.
For me it’s a great combination of big boat and small boat features…
Big boat: Spacious Cockpit, 10 foot beam, Separate Aft Cabin, Proper Galley (with Gas Hob & Oven), Huge Forward Dinette.
Small Boat: Genuinely exciting to drive, great fuel economy, low servicing costs, low berthing costs (under 9m), can even be slipped out onto a yard trailer if you have one.

This example has got to be one of the best around…
It’s in beautiful condition throughout (no saltwater corrosion issues at all), the interior is mint, the gelcoat is stunning, the covers are perfect and the engine room is really clean and tidy. It’s running great, everything works and it’s ready to go for next season.
