Rinker v190 Classic Cuddy - SOLD

If you want a boat that’s a little different to the usual fleet of anonymous white and blue runabouts then this Rinker V190 could be the boat for you.

Now, if you’re familiar with GulfStream Boat Sales, you’ll know that I am extremely wary of older boats – because I know how much of a nightmare they can be. If I can’t be totally sure that I’m not selling someone a boat load of trouble then I will not get involved. Full stop.

Having said that, this boat is about as far removed from the typical older boat scenario as you can get. When I first saw this boat, in her own purpose built boat house on the shore of Lough Erne, I knew that I had nothing to worry about!

This Rinker V190, built in 1990, is an absolute credit to her two previous owners. The first owner bought her new from Mullan Marine (the Northern Ireland dealer for Rinker US Sportsboats back in the 90s) in May 1992 and this boat has been looked after like a baby since then.

From then until May 2013, the boat was kept under cover and out of the water in the owner’s purpose built boat house, complete with a powered launch and recovery system. The boat was only ever been used in fresh water and has been meticulously maintained.

In May 2013 I sold the boat to her 2nd and current owner. In the intervening 3 years he has spared no expense in the maintenance and up-keep of the boat. The most significant additions and improvements include a brand new Indespension road trailer, an Icom VHF Radio, a new storage cover, regular and comprehensive engine servicing and a bunch of work to freshen up the various woodwork on the boat. There are receipts to support all the work carried out and the boat is currently in perfect, ready-for-the-water condition.

This boat is in remarkable condition. Every single switch, gauge, clip and hinge works perfectly. The gel coat is unblemished and has a lustre like she just let the factory. The condition of this boat really would put many a 4 or 5 year old boat to shame…

As I’m sure you know, if you are looking at boats of around 10 years old or more, then the actual age quickly becomes irrelevant… It’s all about condition!

As well as being in fantastic cosmetic order the boat is mechanically perfect. One glance at the engine tells me it has been well maintained. It is starting on the first turn of the key and running very smoothly. The performance is particularly strong from the 4.3L 190HP V6 Mercruiser Sterndrive and it makes this an excellent watersports boat.

With a spacious cuddy cabin and a full set of camper covers the boat also lends itself well to extended day trips and even the odd overnight stay.

For what’s on offer here, at the price being asked, this has to be one of the best value boats we’ve had to sell this year. And even better than that… given the boat’s genuine classic appeal, if you continue to look after it like it has been, you could be selling her for more in 4 or 5 years time!
